The Washington Cemetery Section Two Yedintsy section is the oldest of the 4 NYC burial sites.

Individual grave pics have not yet been taken of this section.
Washington Cemetery Section Five is different from each of the other sections due to the fact that its main section separates men from women across the main center path, with few exceptions.  Also most graves in this main section are buried in date of death order back to front.  Three smaller sections with mixed gender burials are in the rear of the overall section.
At the rear of Section Two are numerous baby grave markers, most of which are fading and will be lost to memory.
The Mt. Hebron Gate of the Independent Yednitzer Benevolent Society boasts the largest gate and post combination of all the cemetery sections. It is truly an impressive entrance marker.  As opposed to each of the other section markers it is also in the best shape and the most legible.  To see a closeup of the gate click on the picture to see three photos grafted together to truly detail its grandeur.
The Beth David Cemetery Section Gate presides over a section that was intended solely for Yedinitzers but over the years had many of the graves sold to other organizations and families.  The majority of the section to the left of the center path is not related to Yedinitz.  The graves to the right of the path also include  burials unrelated to Yedinitz or descendants thereof.
